ACRN 99.3 FM is a cable-stereo station. The station, founded in 1971, offers music, news, and special features twenty-four hours a day to the university community.

The DJ in the bottom photo, Greg Murray, is now the PA announcer for Columbus Blue Jackets hockey, a DJ at a 104.9 The River in Columbus, and a commercial voice artist. He’s also now the Voice of ACRN.

After massive member, alumni and fan support, ACRN has the chance to win an award from MTV.
The station has made it to the Top 25 for an MTVu Woodie Award for the “College Radio Woodie,” which honors the best student-run college radio station. Voting, which takes place this week, will help move 10 stations into the next round.
The Woodie Awards honor the “best music as voted by college students,” with past musicians such as Death Cab for Cutie, 30 Seconds to Mars and Matt & Kim taking home trophies.

 ACRN Date Auction: She Bears, The Kyle Sowashes & Jake Householder / February 10, 2012 / The Union
Life is full of love, hate, passion and anger and they all come together this time of year for the beloved (or despised) Valentine’s Day. With these intense emotions rallying together, ACRN finds it only fitting to hold its annual date auction.
This traditional fundraiser puts ACRN lobsters (members) on the market for some gold ol’ fashioned bidding. As compensation for bidding, winners will get to hang out with their “prize” and have the opportunity to receive a gift card to an Athens establishment or collect ACRN merchandise.
And of course it wouldn’t be an ACRN event without some tunes. The organization has planned an all-star line-up of bands including She Bears, The Kyle Sowashes and Jake Householder.
